An educator working in the pre-primary and primary formal and non-formal education and development sector for over five decades, Sucharita Seal is also involved in community mobilization through Education in rural West Bengal for the past thirty years. She is the Secretary of the Antaranga Society for Social and Economic Development (ASSED). ASSED runs a school for marginalized children in Santiniketan and also organises computer training and community libraries for first generation learners.

In her capacity as Pre-primary and Primary educator and trainer Ms. Seal has been involved in building capacities of and training School leaders and teachers in Government, Private and NGO sectors. Her areas of capacity building include pedagogy, curriculum and syllabus development and implementation, classroom teaching, class management, Teaching and Learning material development, organization of classroom spaces for learning, handling of children of different learning abilities and so on.

Apart from being Edcuation Director of Antaranga pre-primary and primary school at Santiniketan, Ms. Seal also engages Trainer of Government teachers (Primary) in corporate CSR programs (Tata Chemicals), Pre-primary Advisor and Mentor with Techno India Group of Schools as well as other private schools across Kolkata city including DPS North Kolkata. In the online space, Ms. Seal imparts foundational literacy and communication training to Early Childhood learners (Infant – Grade 1) both in India and the United States, using the storytelling narrative form in play-way teaching and learning.
